Happy 1st Birthday Wilson!

Wow!  I really can't believe that it's been a year already!!  When I heard Libby's theme idea, a teddy bear picnic, I thought it sounded SO cute!  Perfect idea for a summertime birthday party.  Her invitations were precious with a sweet picture of little Wilson with a BIG teddy bear (larger than him!), and his special birthday shirt.  It was absolutely cuter than I can even try to describe.  I was so excited to do little teddy bear cookies for his party.  Then Libby asked if I would be willing to do a cake.  I have done a total of 2 cakes out of my home so I was a little apprehensive.  But I LOVE decorating and thought, hey, why not give it a shot!  And Libby trusts me and knows that I will make it as cute as possible.  :)  So here they are!

It has gotten WILD at the McNinch House!

When I recieved this order, I was so excited about trying out the zebra print.  Valerie sent me an invitation to help me get an idea of what she had in mind for her sister's shower.  She also ordered sticker labels that I added to the bags as a final touch.  I LOVED this theme and if I ever find myself throwing a baby shower, I may just have to steal it!  Congrats on your new addition McNinch family!

Lia's Ice Cream Cookies

This weekend, Lia celebrated her 4th birthday!  She celebrated with a super fun theme, an ice cream party!  Along with all of the fun games, etc, she gave out ice cream cone shaped cookies to her guests.  She even picked out the colors herself - purple and yellow.  Happy Birthday Lia!!

PS - Sorry for the bad picture.  This was taken from my phone.  :)

Whit & Parker's 3rd Birthday

As you can tell, I'm playing catch up with the posts!  We are back tracking a little, but I just had to post these :)

For the boys' 3rd birthday this past April, I chose to do a Mickey Mouse theme.  If the boys had it their way, we would have done another Thomas the Tank birthday - but I just couldn't handle that again!  We went to Disney World in January so I figured since they were still hyped up about Mickey, we would make that our theme.  And as I said before, I like to really put my all into their parties....and this year, I really did!  I just know that their birthday parties are always going to be together, so I want to make it extra special.  So here are a few pictures...

Happy 2nd Birthday Whit & Parker!

If anyone knows my kids, you know they are obsessed with trains!  From the time they were probably a year-18months, they were in LOVE with trains, especially the Thomas collection.  We have more trains in our house than I can count - but trust me, if one Thomas is missing, they will know (even though we have 4 of them)!  So naturally, for their 2nd birthday, we did a Thomas the tank theme.  And when I do a party, I jump in with both feet.  There was Thomas stuff everywhere - their outfits, cake, cookies, favor bags, decorations, everything!  Here are their cookies and the cake....the important stuff :)  And now, at 3, they are still in love with trains.  We have spent a small fortune in trains but at least their love for them has lasted this long!

And So It Begins...

Well I took a BIG break from any sort of icing, cakes, etc starting at the end of my pregnancy with the boys.  I mean heck, I could barely stand up without getting tired.  And life got kind of crazy after they were born, imagine that huh?!  I was sooo excited for their first birthday that I planned WAY in advance!  I settled on the monkey theme - I mean I do have 2 little monkeys so the theme just fit.  I figured, hey, why not do some cookies to give out as favors at the party for all of the guests.  It would give me a fun "project" to work on for their party without having to put too much effort into it.  And that is how I got back into decorating.  I did do their cake also but I left the baking and making icing up to Edible Art.  I was so lucky to have that place to come back to!  Here is a picture of their cookies!  Wow...and to think....they are ALREADY 3!!!!  Phew, time flies!
