Shamrocks and Bunnies

Just a reminder that St. Patty's Day is coming up soon!  Get those orders in if you are wanting something to share with your friends at your St. Patty's party.

These cookies were made for the Cookies for Kids Cancer 5K and Bake Sale last March.  Again, I have signed up to bring cookies for this year's bake sale.  I've also signed up to run the 5k (hopefully I can beat last year's time!).  If you are interested in signing up for the 5k, sign up here - http://www.cookiesforkidscancer.racesonline.com/.  We have a team running in memory of Christopher Thorne.  Also, if you are interested in donating money to Cookies for Kids Cancer, visit this site and donate to help us reach our goal of $1,000!  http://cookiesforkidscancer.kintera.org/faf/donorReg/donorPledge.asp?ievent=442828&supid=376289953

And before you know it - Easter will be here!  Get those Easter orders in too!

This year, I am able to do flowers, bunny faces, eggs, and carrots!  Email me to order - creativecookiesnc@gmail.com.

It's all about the Numbers!

Last year, Jaime contacted me as she was on the hunt for #3 shaped cookies.  She said that she had searched all over and couldn't find any or anyone that was willing to make them.  Not sure why!  I told her that I'd love to help - and since then, I've done numbers, numbers, and more numbers!  It seems to be a reoccurring theme idea lately.  Here are just a few of the ideas of some of the numbers that I have created lately:

For the sweet girls, Kennedy & Payton on their 2nd Birthday

For Elizabeth & Ben on their 4th Birthday

For Katie & Kendall on their 2nd Birthday

For Claire's 5th Birthday

Christine's little girl's 3rd Birthday

For sweet Savannah Grace's 5th Birthday

Payton's 5th Birthday

Halloween may be over....

But the Holidays have JUST begun.  This Halloween, there were lots of new designs added to my collection

This year, I did pumpkins, ghosts, Frankenstein heads, skeleton heads, spiderwebs, eyeballs, and bats!
Don't forget these ideas for next year!

And what's next???  THANKSGIVING!!

If you are interested in ordering cookies to share with the family on Turkey Day, make sure and place your orders soon!  Think turkeys, acorns, leaves, pilgrim hats, pumpkins....all in cookie form!

And I know, I know, we hate to rush Thanksgiving BUT Christmas is also coming up before you know it!  And this year, I am only able to do cookies through December 14th (they have to be picked up that morning).  If you want to order cookies for family, friends, bosses, favorite mail lady, etc., please order them soon.  Keep in mind also, that these cookies freeze extremely well, so if you would like to have some for Christmas Eve or Christmas day, you will have to get them early and freeze them.  Just pull them out the night before and voila, they are ready when you need them!

Let Them Eat Cake!

I started noticing my cake files starting to get backed up - so I felt the need to go ahead and get them all out to you to see.  Talk about variety - as you will see below -

AHHH Shark Attack!

Yep, this was a request for a shark cake - and beware out there - if you Google shark cakes to get ideas, there are some really gross looking ones out there!  The picture that I used for inspiration also had arms and legs sticking out of the sharks mouth, so I just omitted those!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY GRANT!

Next up, a puppy cake!  A pink and purple puppy at that!  I loved how it turned out - and a perfect addition to a little girl's birthday party!

And what do you make for a birthday cake for a grandma that happens to be Chinese and LOVE noodles?  Yep, you guessed it - Lo Mein cupcakes!  Noodles on your birthday are a tradition in the Chinese culture, as they are a sign of longevity.  Who says the noodles have to be made like traditional noodles?  Why not icing noodles?!  And THIS is the way to get the kiddos to eat veggies - except they have no nutritional value...bummer!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY POH POH!

Also to go with the Lo Mein cupcakes, were peach cookies - once again, peaches a symbol of longevity.

And last but not least, goodies for a little girl's 3rd birthday.  The cake, with it's fun ruffles also happens to have layers of cake on the inside that are the same color (or similar) - as this was my first attempt at a cake like this.  And to go with it, birthday cake cookies including 3 candles on top of each one.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY LANDRY!!

The Time is Here...

...To get your October orders in!  Think fall festivals, Halloween goodies for school, birthday parties, or a special treat to have around the house!

Weekends are already starting to fill up for October - so get your orders in quick!

Cookies will be available in the shapes of skulls, pumpkins, Frankenstein heads, ghosts, candy corn, fall leaves, bats, and mummies.

Total Party Package!

Cookies have always been my specialty (hence the "creative cookies" name) BUT recently, I've broken into doing some cakes as well.  Cookies are still more my "thing" - as I'm more limited in my abilities with cake - but it gives another option to the party goodies.  The cookies are always a great idea for a party favor or even to serve at the party along with other snacks.  Now, I also have the options of cake, smash cakes, and cupcakes.  Here are a few examples of the total packages where I've done all of the goodies so that they coordinate -

I was thoroughly amazed when I went to drop off these items at Ellie & Jack's house!  This was their 1st birthday with a goldfish theme.  I was in awe of all of the precious decorations that were all over the house. And everything was in the orange/teal/navy blue colors!

HAPPY 1st BIRTHDAY ELLIE & JACK!

Another order that I had here recently was for a "vintage" circus themed party.  The decor included lots of bright colors in many different patterns - as well as lots of animals.  The animals included a seal, elephant, tiger, and lion.  I loved how this theme was less of the "scary" carnival-ish clown theme, and more sophisticated and more about the animals.  Just perfect for a little boys' first birthday!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY REID!
