Don't Forget the Teacher!

Teacher Appreciation week is coming up soon (unless it has already passed)!!  I know when I was teaching, Teacher Appreciation week was always fun.  It was so sweet to see the kids come in with special presents for us teachers - not only were we excited to get a small token of appreciation, but the kids loved it just as much.  They loved to see what we were getting - and loved the feeling of handing us some sort of little gift.
Typically, the things I got as a teacher were stuffed animals, fresh fruit (aka a banana that had been sitting at the bottom of the bookbag all morning), coffee mugs, and here and there, a gift card to Starbucks or a favorite store.
Here are a few "sweet" things that I have done recently for teacher appreciation gifts-

A flower pot filled with flower shaped cookie pops - These pots were painted by the children.  They each put their handprints around the sides and wrote their names on top of their prints.  So cute!  Another option for this is that I can paint these as well and personalize them with the teacher's name, etc.

Another item that I did this week was for a preschool director - just another option of something to give to a teacher.  And what you may not realize from the picture, is that this is a JUMBO cookie.  This cookie is 6 inches around (double what they usually are).

And last, this was a cookie platter (created for a teacher appreciation breakfast).  These are MINI cookies - these are about 1/2 the size of my normal cookies.

And to see some that I did last year, take a look here - http://creativecookies.blogspot.com/search/label/Teachers

LOTS and LOTS of options!  And as always, if you have an idea for something unique that I don't have pictured, please let me know and I will see what I can do.
If you want to order a teacher gift, get your orders in soon!  I am filling up for the next couple of weeks - and I will not be taking anymore orders for the weekend of May 18-20th.

Summer is over...Back to School!

As I'm trying to go back and post pictures of past cookies that I have done, I found that these would be perfect today.  As all of the kids go back to school, you can't forget the teachers!  As a former teacher myself, I would have loved to have a personalized present like this.  This was actually made for an end of the year present idea for a teacher but this would be great for any time of year - beginning of the school year, teacher appreciation, end of the year, or heck, anytime in between!

This was made for the teacher with a personalized drinking glass with her name on it and cookie pops coming out of it.  And below is a more up close picture of the cookie pops themselves.

The next pictures were cookies that were made for the assistant teacher.  I used the same design as the teacher present but didn't make these cookie pops.  I packaged them in a box with a "Thank You Teacher" tag and matching ribbon.  There were 8 cookies in the box (even though only 4 are shown).
