The 30th birthday is one of those special milestones! (I've got mine coming this year - so we'll see!) A good friend of mine ordered these for her sister's 30th birthday. I was given the ideas of pink and Eiffel towers - so this seemed to work just perfect! I was so thrilled with how they turned out - and I was happy to know that the cookies were a hit at the party. These cookies were also an order that was frozen prior to the week of the party - and were taken out, thawed, and handed out as favors.

Happy 5th Birthday Claire!
I was asked to do cookies for a little girl turning 5 recently - Miss Claire! (ok, so I'm behind a little on the blog - so it's been a little while). The request was for pink, pink, and more pink! I did cupcakes and cookies for the party, and cookies to send home with the party guests. The cookies to be sent home were little girls in sleeping bags. Cupcakes and cookies - super cute pink designs - picked out by Claire's mommy. I thought they all turned out great!
Happy 5th Birthday Claire!!
Btw - BIG thank you to Cathy Graham for taking pictures for me - since I totally forgot before I left the house!!

An Under the Sea Party!
When Christine came to me with an underwater theme, we threw around a few "sea creature" type designs. When it was decided on, her daughter chose mermaids, seahorses, and nemo type clown fish. I loved seeing Christine's reaction when she came to pick up her order - exactly what I'd hoped for - she loved them! Afterward, I got to see a few pictures taken from the party. She had to have had a fabulous balloon artist there - the guests came home with all kinds of underwater creature balloon hats. What a cool idea!! I'll have to store that in my plans for future parties.
Happy 4th Birthday Preston!
Even though Preston's birthday was a couple of weeks ago, I couldn't pass up the chance to blog about his fabulous birthday. His birthday party was at Noah's Art at the Blakeney shopping center. I've actually never had a chance to go there - so I was excited for my boys to get to go and do something a little new - while celebrating Preston's birthday. I would definitely recommend them for parties! They did a story time, painted pictures on the kids' hands, and did a few different crafts all relating to the theme of the party - Percy the train of course. Since Noah's Art is a kids art studio of sorts, we did a paint palette theme when it came to cupcakes and cookies. I apologize for the random cupcake picture - my brain wasn't working that day and I forgot to take a picture of the cupcakes until right when the kids were about to start eating. Enjoy!

Bumblebees For Tristan
Well, maybe this isn't the "typical" kind of Bumblebee! This is a TRANSFORMER Bumblebee! This is one of those requests I was a little baffled by again. My children are still so obsessed with trains that I had no clue what a Transformer Bumblebee was! But after a little research - I got it taken care of. These were for a little boy named Tristan that is just a super sweet kid. No wonder because his mom is one of the nicest people ever! I'm so glad she liked them and I hope Tristan was excited about them too!
HAPPY 4th BIRTHDAY TRISTAN!!

Emily & Yoda...A Match Made in Heaven...
Or not really...just had a ring to it! One of my neighbors has 4 sons (phew)....2 of which have birthdays within weeks of each other. I did her boys' birthday cookies last year - and I was excited when she came back this year to order more. Last year, she needed cookies and for some reason, I was out of town for that week. Our solution was to freeze the cookies! At that point, I wasn't sure if it would work or not - I'd never tried it. I tried doing one cookie here at my house and my personal taste tester (aka my Husband) promised me that it tasted just the same as a fresh one. So Beth became my guinea pig. She ordered cookies, froze them, and then pulled them out the night before (or morning of) the party. She too said that she thought they tasted just as good. SUCCESS!
It's always neat to see what her son Carter may come up with for an idea - last year, Boba Fett. My first reaction was WHO??? But I tried it and thankfully, it looked close enough that Carter knew who it was! This year, his first idea was a the Transformer Bumblebee, but he decided to change his mind and go for Yoda. Well at least this time I knew who Yoda was! I was so happy to see Carter's reaction when I dropped off the cookies. He seemed thrilled and immediately asked if he could have a cookie....at 9pm...
Landon is a little man that has the exact same interests as my boys - TRAINS! Last year, he had Thomas cookies - this year, Emily the train cookies. It's so nice having tons of trains around the house to look at when I'm trying to see the details on the trains. When I finished these, I asked my little Whit, "Who is this?" His reply was that it looked "kind of" like Emily.....that scared me a little....since usually he is pretty good at guessing the cookie designs. He proceeded to tell me that Emily the train has a coal car....and the cookies didn't. Details...details...

Reagan's Birthday was a BLAST!
What a cool birthday theme?!! When Reagan's mom asked me to do cookies for her 7th birthday, I was absolutely thrilled about trying something new. She sent me a picture of what the cake was going to look like and I tried to make them look as similar as possible. Below, I've included a picture of the birthday girl blowing out her candles (note - this awesome cake was not one of my creations), and I've included a picture of the cookies. Great theme for a girl or boy!
As a side note, with this order, I ordered a new cookie cutter. When it arrived, I was a little bummed about how small it was! I typically try to make sure all of my cookies are around the same size - so that just wasn't going to do! So, what do you do in a pinch, you make your own template. I actually ended up cutting each cookie out by hand. I know, I know....sounds a bit excessive but I'm a perfectionist when it comes to this stuff - and if I want them a certain way, I will do whatever I need to!
HAPPY 7th BIRTHDAY REAGAN!!

Happy Birthday Jacob!
I saw a request on one of my favorite mommy sites, Union County Mommies, for a last minute cake order. As I can imagine, birthdays right after the holidays come up quick. But this mommy also had some SUPER sick kids in the past week or two and she just had to put birthday stuff on the back burner. Well her son requested a blue Lego birthday cake....for the next day. I'm not sure of many places that could pull that off very quickly. When I saw it though, I thought - 1. It's a mommy who needs help and I can totally understand why she needed it so last minute and 2. Why not give it a shot - I'm always trying to test my skills - and really, I haven't done many cakes out of my home.
Here's how it came out!

Happy 4th Birthday Evan!!
Evan is one of our neighbors and buddies with my boys too. He celebrated his 4th birthday (which is actually today) last Saturday. He had a super fun firetruck birthday party. The kids got to run around and play and get a special tour of a Rescue Firetruck - a little different from the typical firetruck but neat to see the different things it had on it. And I was totally impressed by all of the gluten free food that Jill served! YUMMY! And of course the party favor was some super yummy firetruck cookies. Happy Birthday Evan!!! Thanks for letting us celebrate your special day with you!

Sweet Savannah's Birthday
I've done a couple of orders already for Corey but these were by far the cutest! She sent me a link to the blog http://www.hwtm.com/index.cfm?page=albums/view_album&albumid=206&photoid=4996 so that I could recreate some cookies from it. I thought this theme was just precious!!! PERFECT for a winter birthday! So I did penguin cookies as favors and I also made some peppermint cookies that Corey could put out at the party for her guests to enjoy. And to top it off, the peppermint cookies had a little peppermint flavoring in the icing. YUM!! :) Here's how they came out -
And look at these super cute tags that Corey picked out to have added to the bagged cookies. They were super cute - and a great way to say "Thanks" to your guests for coming to the party. I'm sure the rest of the party decor was just as precious!!

Transformers
Wow...I definitely realized that my boys must live in a very "Thomas the Tank" kind of bubble. I had NO CLUE what Transformers looked like until I started looking for pictures. Once again, this is something I'm sure my children will get into some day. At least I have practice now! Kristine, I hope you had a fabulous party for your sweet little 5 year old!

Mickey Mouse Strikes Again!
I just love Mickey Mouse....I mean who doesn't??? And of course, it is the perfect theme for a super cute little 1 year old boy's party. I know his Mommy worked super hard on making this the perfect party for him. I hope that he enjoyed his party and getting to hang out with all of his family.
Happy 1st Birthday Brooks!

Thank you Levine Nurses!
I'm happy to say that FINALLY little Christopher is better. He spent a couple of weeks in the Levine Children's Hospital at CMC while they did all kinds of tests, etc to see what was going on with the little man. He was a trooper and is finally better! As a thank you to the nurses, his mommy ordered cookies to sit at the nurses station. Jackie requested flowers on the cookies so I made a variety of flowers on the mini cookies (I figured the more cookies, the better!).

Under the Sea - Mermaids and Sharks
I was so excited about how these came out! I was a little scared as I searched for cookie cutters for this order. All of the mermaids out there are a little "grown up" and I was trying to find something for a 3 year old! If all else fails, design your own! :) These were for a double party - 5 year old boy and 3 year old girl. And they were PRECIOUS and so excited about their cookies!

Happy 1st Birthday Mia!
I am just in awe of how quickly all of my friend's kids grow up! I feel like it wasn't that long ago that Sheila was pregnant. And now Mia is 1. Where does the time go??? I've enjoyed watching her grow over the past year and am just amazed at how quickly she discovered how to walk and is already saying a few words like "up!". I am also totally impressed by Sheila's party decorating abilities for Mia's party! Yellow and black everywhere, a super cute food table (including lots of goodies for the kids to enjoy), and Mia's cute little onesie to celebrate her day along with a matching tutu (made by Sheila herself!). I'm so happy we were able to celebrate Mia's special day with her!

NY Mets
Last week, the lovely Julissa (and fellow twin mama) ordered some cookies for a Zumba friend of her's. She sent me a picture of what she had in mind and I used that to create these....
And here is a pic of the set up :)

Peace, Love, and Sugar Cookies!!
I've noticed that the cool thing for kids and teens these days is the peace signs and the NEON colors! Wow...that sentence made me feel really old. I recently had a request for peace sign cookies. And I made them about as neon as I could get. LOVE how they turned out! I guess you could say they were real "groovy".

Christmas Already???
Today, as we were having lunch, my boys mentioned that they wanted to watch a movie. So of course, we did. Well, I should have been thankful that they didn't ask to watch a Thomas the Tank movie but they did request The Polar Express. Now, we watch this movie A LOT in my house but it makes me laugh every time when it is warm outside - yet they want to watch a movie about Christmas? And snow? And Santa?
So we watched it again....for about the millionth time....
But anyway, as I was watching it, it reminded me of a cake that I did almost a year ago. My friend Cathy came to me and asked me if I'd be willing to do her twins' birthday cake. Their birthday is really close to Christmas and last year, she took them on The Polar Express train ride up in the mountains for their birthday present. This is really the FIRST cake (other than a box cake mix) that I had tried to make in my home. And Cathy gave me free reign to do whatever I could create. So here's what came out of it!

Connor's Spiderman Party!
If there's one kid that loves his superheroes, its Connor! This weekend he celebrated his 5th birthday with an awesome Spiderman theme. I know he had a great time bouncing around with his friends at Extreme Play. Here are the Spiderman cookies that he gave as favors to his friends! Happy Birthday Connor!!!
Little Ladybug Maiya turns 2!
Over the last 8 months, I've gotten to see little Maiya grow. She has really grown up a lot in this time. Especially lately, she has really started to get taller and start looking more like a little girl (rather than having the little baby face). We were able to celebrate her birthday with her this past weekend and her mommy did a fabulous job on all of the food and decorations - from creating our own bugs with craft supplies to the red candy covered pretzels with black sprinkles (along with all of the yummy red food). I was asked to do cookies and cupcakes for the party and here they are along with a picture of precious Maiya blowing out the candles!
